Really enjoyed the session on RSS and will make a lot of use of Google Reader for myself. The opportunity to hear professional discussion from enthusiastic and quality people has been invaluable. The opportunity for 'hands on' experimentation has also been invaluable. The only negative from the course was the amount of information and web opportunities that exist is far beyond the realm of a 4 day inservice course. It would be extremely beneficial to continue these inservice opportunities but extend them even further for staff from our schools. Had we been aware of the focus of the course from the start, we may have targetted other staff to become involved. Today has given me plenty of ideas on how I can use RSS and blogs. Vince's new school website has given me an idea that I would like to setup a blog that teachers can post ideas to on PD sessions. It would be used to provide feedback and inform whole staff on what PD has been done, what implications it has for the school or faculty in general etc. We could then use RSS feed to push this to staff so that they are encouraged to read it. The practical nature of elements of the course I felt were the most of use. 2. The presenters were very patient and looked to expand our use of mant=y tools in Web 2.0 3. The variety of experiences were diverse. 4. Our limited access to mac computers initially limited our first session but has improved as we had more access to a better computer. 1. As a leader it has provided me with a great deal of "food for thought" to take back to the school as we prepare for the 1:1 initiative and has clarified my thoughts on where we need to be heading if we are to be successful. As a teacher, it has provided me with the chance to "try" some new appications and in turn given me more ideas to take back to my classroom. I am enjoying "playing" with some of these new web based products and look forward to continuing this with my classes and the rest of the staff. I appreciate the opportunity to learn about all of this and hope that I can continue the momentum. I really found RSS an interesting concept and this will clearly grow in the years to come. It will be an effective reseasrch tool, es[pecially for senior students. 2. I personally was already aware of the need for whole school approach to Information Literacy although there were some good web sites. 3.
