Thank you for the day. Sorry i held up the discussion re some topics from the first session. The blogging is an interesting phenomenon - it raises issues as well as creates an open forum of information flow and discussion. Practically like most things it takes time to set up and requires time to consolidate the learning. I enjoyed the creating - but would like to see more material of how to use in an educational context, as well as a staff learning context. Looking forward to RSS. Thanks Amanda

I found the day to exciting in presenting some of the possibilities for the use of blogs in schools. Time is also an issue but I can see the potential once the Blog is set up. Again a great day.

MOST USEFULIt was useful to do more hands on in setting up a blog as it helped iron out some steps and trips for me. I am concerned that I may not be able to do the daily use as suggested but I wull make an effort to do this to improve my confidence in using blogs etc. Neil's insights were extremely practical.
LEAST USEFUL: Too much discussion going over old ground and philosophy underpinning 1-1.
Specifics for Day 3: Google Reader and other applications; classroom uses/suggestions for applications.

A good day. Enjoyed the morning discussion and the opportunity to discuss a lot of critical issues - appreciated the positive atmosphere - no prophets of doom! Thanks,Neil, for the update on Corpus & I think the Learning to Learn program is a great idea. Looking forward to finding some time to experiment with some more blogging in next couple of weeks and sharing some conversations with staff.

I found the second half of the day better, as we actually learned about the setting up of the blog. I need to learn more about the techniques of the blogs and then how we can use them with kids/staff to enhance learning.
Neil's insight into CCCHS was informative as it gave us some collegial realities into 1:1
Cheers

The opportunity to access and work with edublogs by creating a specific useable site was invaluable. It is the 'hands on' approach and opportunity that makes the difference.
For day 3, I would like to continue the building of specific resources whether it be continuing the edublogs or another form of software.

I was keen to gain a better understanding of Web2.0 and I did. I will now be able to introduce staff to blogging by opening a professional dialogue blog. Hopefully they will see the relevance to their teaching. I thinks leaders should be given time next time to plan staff development and to discuss pedagogy.

The informati0on and discussion was interesting but I feel I would like to learn to use the web 2.0 tools and other applications to improve my understanding of how we can use these in our school.
The practical ideas from Neil were good
Thanks from Sandra

I always find the discussion interesting as it allows different views to be heard, however i think when we actually got down to the hands on part of creating, the level of participation improved as we all felt we were doing something.
I think actually learning these tools such as delicious or rss would be valuable to ensure we can do it before expecting staff to take part in similar activities
